What to look for: This shade garden is located in Wilmington, NC at the New Hanover County NC Cooperative Extension and Arboretum. Featured plants for the Wilmington winter series include: Aucuba japonica 'Gold Dust', Fatsia japonica, Ivy Tree (Dendropanax trifidus), Hinoki falsecypress (Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Crippsii'), and Tassel Fern (Polystichum polyblepharum). The stone path meanders through speckled leaf aucuba and tropical fatsia on the right and woodland ferns on the left.
