Bowles Periwinkle Vinca minor

Phonetic Spelling
VIN-kah MY-nor
Description

Vinca is an evergreen ground cover from Europe with blue-lavender flowers in spring. It will rebloom intermittantly throughout the year. Excellent for large natural areas as it can become weedy. The vine spreads by rooting at the nodes. More manicured-looking than V. major; utilized as ground cover for luxurous foliage and dainty blue-purple flowers, and around trees.

It is considered invasive in several states around NC and California.
