Killen is a cultivar of the native American Persimmon. It has good flavor and firm fruit that is medium-sized and moderately productive. The fruit is astringent until fully ripe then becomes very sweet. Plant in full sun in moist and well-drained soil. It is also adaptable to many varieties of soil and is drought tolerant.
