Rose of Sharon is easily grown in average soil and flowers best in full sun. It is very tolerant of summer heat and humidity. It is multi-stemmed with a vase shape and has a long bloom period from summer into fall. It tolerates wet sites and self-seeds, sometimes aggressively.
