Golden Crown Coreopsis tripteris

Other Common Name(s):

Phonetic Spelling
kor-ee-OP-sis TRIP-tear-is
Description

These yellow flowers resemble the flower Black-eyed Susan but in a mini version, and can be found in thickets and woodland edges. Pollinators love this plant, and birds relish the seeds. It spreads easily and is resistant to browsing by deer.

Insects, Diseases, and Other Plant Problems: Crown rot may occur if grown in moist, poorly drained soils. Taller plants may need staking.
