Description

A compact, mounded cultivar.  Its blue-green needles retain their color through the winter, perfect for your winter garden.

Not a native of the US, but has been naturalized in portions of the northeast and north-central area of the country.

It grows best in full sun in well-drained soil but will tolerate poor dry soil.  This plant has a bushy form/habit. 

Insect, Diseases, and Other Plant Problems:  This tree is susceptible to wind damage.  Some pests affecting the health of this plant include sawflies, moths and scale.  Sphaeropsis tip blight can also be a problem.
