- Description
-
'Climbing Rainbow's End' is a miniature climbing rose in the Rosaceae family and was discovered by Sue O'Brien in 1998 as a sport of the miniature rose Rainbow's End ™.
It typically grows from 5 to 12 feet tall and 3 to 6 feet wide with a bushy form. Grow in fertile medium moisture well-drained soils in full sun for best results. Later winter pruning is best.
The bicolor yellow flowers have pink-to-red edges that fade to orange and red. They are 1-2 inches wide with 30-36 petals and bloom May to frost. Leaves are dark green on stems with prickles.
Plant on a trellis or fence or allow it to drape over a wall. It can also trail on the ground like a groundcover and be grown in a container.
Insects, Diseases, and Other Plant Problems: Good disease resistance. See pests of roses to the left. Deer will browse roses.
