Description

A superior cultivar having short, bluish-green needles that keep their color for winter interest.  Will grow in a variety of soil conditions, providing good drainage is available.  This cultivar will grow to form a 10' x 10' rounded ball at maturity.

Although not a native, this plant has been naturalized in the northeast and the north-central US.

Insect, Diseases, and Other Plant Problems:  This tree is susceptible to wind damage.  A serious problem is Sphaeropsis tip blight.  Pine wilt nematode, sawflies, moths and scale my also be an issue in the plant overall health.
