Description

The genus name is taken from the Greek word pelargos, meaning a stork, as the plant’s elongated fruit capsule has a beak like a stork.

 

 

Uses include potpourris, sachets, teas, jellies, desserts, herbal butter, and vinegar.  The flavor of the flowers is similar to the scent of the leaves.
