Lance Leaf Blanket Flower is a perennial flower native to North Carolina, with flowerheads up to 3” diameter. It will grow in clumps up to 18” tall. The flowers are in bloom from late spring into the fall and attract butterflies. It is easy to grow and prefers regular, well-drained soil, but will also tolerate drought and dry soil. It has no serious insect or disease problems. Root rot can occur in poorly drained soils.
Use this plant in the front of the perennial border, in a pollinator/native garden, in a rock garden, and to add long-lasting blooms where needed.
