Other Common Name(s):

Phonetic Spelling
KOR-nus drum-AWN-dee-eye
Description

Rough Leaved Dogwood is a deciduous shrub native to Canda and the central part of the U.S.A.   Grow in full sun to partial shade average medium to wet soils.  It tolerates poor soils and deer browsing.  Underground rhizomes allow it to spread in its native woodland forests.   It is not a very ornamental shrub so it works best in naturalized settings or at the edges of landscapes in an informal shrub border or screen or hedge.
