- Description
-
Neon Burst Tatarian Dogwood is a compact shrub that grows 4-5 feet tall and wide. The leaves are bright yellow to chartreuse and resist scorching in the summer sun. The small flowers appear in terminal clusters in mid-spring. Fall color is showy in shades of red, purple or yellow and the stems turn red during winter. It has an erect and rounded compact form. The plant will spread by rhizomes to form thickets so remove suckers if this is not desired.
Plant in moist, fertile well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Use as a hedge, in groups and to provide winter interest. It can also be planted in a naturalized area and allowed to spread.
