Winter Flowering Clematis Clematis cirrhosa

Description

Winter Flowering Clematis is a delicate evergreen vine that flowers in December.  It can grow up to 20 feet.  Plant it with other Clematis vines that bloom at different times and you could conceivably have a clematis blooming in your landscape year-round.  This is not an aggressive vine and does well planted to grow over a deciduous shrub so that you have flowers in the winter on your deciduous shrub.  Cut it back in early spring after they finish flowering to maintain their vigor.
