Description

'Silk Tassel' is grown in shade as an ornamental plant.  This fine-textured sedge grows in clumps and is enjoyed in the landscape due to its beautiful foliage which resembles a shimmering water fountain.    The thread-like foliage is only 1/8" wide and features fine-textured variegated foliage that appears to spill out over the ground.  The foliage is dark green along the edges, with a silvery-white stripe down the center.

Grows best in a location that receives morning or dappled sunlight and is neither too wet or too dry.

Insects, Diseases, and Other Plant Problems:  Occasionally troubled by aphids and diseases such as Rhizoctonia.
