Red, magnolia-like flowers with a light fruity fragrance. But, what is really amazing is that it continues to rebloom for weeks or months and the flowers are held on long pedicles. It does get big, 6-8’ so give it a little room. It is great along a woodland edge. Prune after flowering to maintain shape. It tolerates a wide variety of soil types including clay but needs prefers well-drained soil high in organic matter. It can withstand almost full shade.
