Shade (Medium) Garden - Winter at the NHC Arboretum

This medium shade garden is located in Wilmington, NC at the New Hanover County NC Cooperative Extension and Arboretum. Featured plants for the Wilmington winter series include: Aucuba japonica 'gold dust', Fatsia japonica, Ivy Tree Dendropanax trifidus,  Hinoki falsecypress Chamaecyparis obtusa 'crippsii', and Tassel Fern Polystichum polyblepharum. The stone path flanked by speckle leaf aucuba and tropical fatsia on the right and woodlands feel ferns on the left meanders as if on a nature walk but is actually a fence border landscape bed in the city!
