This North Carolina coastal garden is planted between the house and the circular drive. It uses repetition with hydrangeas, ferns, and grasses to create a pleasing effect. The oak provides shade to the home in the summer as well as providing habitat for songbirds, small mammals, and being a larval host plant for many butterfly and moth speices. The spring blooms of the hydrangeas add a nice pop of blue color.
