Description

Sedum, or Stonecrop, 'Sunsparkler®' series is a group of registered Sedum cultivars that are easy to grow, drought-tolerant, spreading groundcovers in a wide variety of leaf types and flowers in various shades of pink and red. Cultivars from the series are typically grown for their showy, fleshy leaves and striking flowers in the late summer to early fall. In general, the plants from the series are 6 to 8 inches in height, have low water needs, and make excellent groundcovers. The flowers are attractive to butterflies and many other pollinators.

Plant it in the full sun to some light shade in well-drained soil.  Once established these succulent, evergreen plants are extremely drought tolerant and low maintenance. They can be used as groundcover in a rock garden, draping over a rock wall, or in a hanging basket. They look best in small groups or mass planted as a border front or lining a walkway or patio. They fit right in with other sun-loving perennial plants like lavender, cone flower, sage, cat mint, and ornamental grasses. The plants in this series are resistant to damage by deer and rabbits and tolerates drought, air pollution, and dry rocky soils.

Insects, Diseases, and Other Plant Problems:  No significant problems. Slugs and lack of good drainage can be problems.
