Fortuniena Rosa x 'Fortuniena'

Phonetic Spelling
RO-zuh by for-too-nee-AY-nah
Description

This climbing Rose can also be pruned to a shrub. It can be trained to various structures for support and is a vigorous grower with arching canes. Its spreading root system makes it drought tolerant once established.

Double fragrant creamy-white blooms appear in late spring to early summer. It blooms on old wood so prune after flowering is over. The attractive foliage may have a few prickles. Use this plant as a specimen, hedge or as a privacy screen.

It is most often used today as a rootstock due to its disease and drought resistance.
