Description

Magic Carousel is a hybrid miniature shrub rose in the Rosaceae family bred by Ralph Moore of the United States in 1972. Parentage is Little Darling x Westmont.

This bushy miniature shrub grows 1-2 feet high and wide in full sun in amended well-drained moist soil. Prune in late winter to early spring. It is semi-evergreen in warmer climates.

The 1-2 inch wide flowers are white to cream with red-pink edging and fully double with 26-40 petals. It has little to no fragrance and reliably reblooms in flushes throughout the season. Small glossy leathery foliage is on stems with prickles.

Won the All-American Rose Award of Excellence.

Use this small shrub in a container, as edging for walkways, in the border front or in groups.

Insects, Diseases, and Other Plant Problems:  Disese resistant. Watch for powdery mildew, rust and black spot. See pests of diseases to the left. Deer will browse roses.
