-
Ketchup & Mustard™ Floribunda Rose which is also called Snazzee is a red blend rose registered with the American Rose Society. Its bright red petals are dark yellow on the reverse side. With a backdrop of glossy light green leaves, it makes a pretty picture. Its long blooming period starts in late spring and doesn't end until the fall. New flowers open as the existing blooms are starting to drop its petals, making this specimen a great addition to the garden.
Plant at soil level, leaving the crown of the plant even with the soil. Apply a balanced fertilizer in late winter or early spring and then again in early summer. Provide a heavy layer of mulch in the winter, but be sure to remove in the spring. Pruning can be done at any time necessary to maintain the plants rounded shape.
Insects, Diseases, and Other Plant Problems: Although serious issue are rare, problems with aphids, caterpillars, and sawfly can occur. Occasional diseases can include rose black spot, powdery mildew and rose rust.
Water early in the day in order to avoid late day wet conditions that can lead to fungus and other diseases.
