Juniperus horizontalis 'Blue Forest'
Common Name(s):
- Phonetic Spelling
- jew-NIP-er-us hor-ih-zon-TAL-iss
- Description
-
This plant grows in a spreading, ground cover, prostrate form with blue-green, plume-like, soft-textured, upright branches. Its spreading, horizontal growth habit make it an excellent choice for sloped locations or cascading over retaining walls.
'Blue Forest' is a low-growing, spreading, dwarf cultivar. It grows on ascending branchlets. Its blue foliage turns to darker tones of blues and purples in colder months, adding winter interest.
