- Description
-
Goosefoot is an annual weed that naturalizes easily and it is found in disturbed sites, like roadsides, gravel pits, empty lots and occasionally in wetland areas. Its leaves are pinnately lobed and covered in sticky hairs. It has many small tightly packed clusters of green-yellow flowers at the top of the stems that resembles stinging nettle. Plant it in moist fertile soils in full sun. Grown in hedges, or espalier it so blooms can be easily harvested for dried arrangements. It can be weedy.
