Summer Lilac Buddleja Lo & Behold® 'Purple Haze'

Phonetic Spelling
BUD-lee-uh
Description

Buddleja 'Purple Haze', is a dwarf butterfly bush that is a compact grower that extends its branches to the ground. Very showy blooms appear in late summer when there is little else in the garden.  It can be treated as a perennial and cut to the ground in late winter or early spring once the threat of frost has past, it will grow back quickly.  If properly cared for it can last in the landscape for 20 years.

It has a medium texture that balances well in the landscape with a few coarser trees or shrubs.  It works well planted in mass or in a pot or container on a patio.  It tolerates a wide variety of soil types and pH, as well as salt and urban conditions.

It will bloom continuously from summer to fall.

Once established, this plant requires little watering.

This variety does not produce unwanted seedlings.
