What to look for: The David Caldwell Historic Park, adjacent to the Tanger Family Bicentennial Gardens, is dedicated to David Caldwell (1725–1824), an early Greensboro resident. The Old Mill is a replica of what a farmer of that era would have used to mill grain.

This water garden is planted around the mill and large water wheel.  Water gardens provide sound and visual interest in the landscape. Water gardens allow you to use plants that thrive in increased humidity and wet soil environments that might suffer in other, drier areas of the landscape.
