Description

These are slow-growing succulents native to South Africa formerly in the Haworthia genus. They are grown more for their showy leaves than for the flowers.  The leaves grow in a rosette and are covered with raised white tubercles. Some of them produce offsets which can then be separated to form new plants. Rosettes can grow up to 10 inches wide and 8 inches tall.

Grow these plants in containers in well-drained soils meant for succulents to prevent root rot. They will tolerate full sun but prefer a semi-shady area and will do well in a window.
