Tahitian Treasure™ is a woody, deciduous, perennial shrub in the rose family (Rosaceae) that was created to resist disease. It has a multi-stemmed and erect habit and will be 2 to 5 feet 6 inches tall and 2 to 4 feet wide.
This grandiflora rose grows best in full sun and in soil with good drainage and high in organic matter. It will not accept standing water or shade. However, it is somewhat tolerant of pollution and urban conditions. Feed it regularly during the first year with an all-purpose fertilizer. Deadhead the blooms as they fade to encourage new blooms. New leaves are burgundy and mature to a glossy, dark green. In fall the leaves turn yellow. Clusters of showy, fragrant flowers are in bloom throughout the summer and into fall. The stems have sharp prickles.
This rose works well planted in groups as a hedge, border, or screen. It is attractive when used as a specimen plant, in a container, or in cutting, cottage, or English gardens.
