Sunshine Daydream is a hybrid Grandiflora rose in the Roseaceae family. It was bred by Michèle Meilland Richardier before 2006. The rose was introduced into the United States by Regan Nursery in 2011 as Sunshine Daydream and in Germany by BKN Strobel GmbH & Co. in 2013 as 'Raffaello'. This shrub was named the All-American Rose Selection in 2012.
This upright shrub will grow 5-6 feet tall and 3-4 feet wide. It prefers fertile moist well-drained soil in full sun but will tolerate most soil types and isn't picky about pH.. Prune diseased or dead canes out at any time. Avoid overhead watering. Mulch will help retain soil moisture. Pruning can be done in late winter to early spring as needed.
The lightly scented flowers are butter-yellow with lighter edges and matures to cream. Flowering occurs from spring into fall. The leaves are glossy green and the stems have prickles.
Use this shrub as a specimen or accent, in a hedge, mass planted or in a cutting garden.
