Rosa 'Sun Sprinkles' or Rosa 'JAChal' is a deciduous perennial miniature rose cultivar that grows up to 2 feet tall and equally as wide with an upright, rounded, compact habit. It has dark yellow, double blooms that are lightly spice-scented, borne on 8- to 10-inch- long stems. Each flower is about 2 inches wide and has up to 35 petals. It blooms from early to late summer, blooming repeatedly. The foliage is dark green and glossy. This miniature rose was bred in 1992. It was released in 2001 and instantly became an award winner. It is a member of the rose family (Rosaceae).
Prefers full sun and moist, well-drained loamy soil. It is heat-tolerant and tolerant of urban conditions. It is winter hardy in zones 6 to 10. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage re-blooming. Prune in the early spring to remove dead canes.
The plant is vigorous and easy to grow. Consider using it as a border planting, groundcover, or container planting. Its long stems make it suitable for flower arrangements.
Insects, Diseases, and Other Plant Problems: Disease-resistant. Monitor for aphids and spider mites
