Description

This rose is no longer readily commercially available

Pink Symphony is a miniature hybrid shrub rose in the Rosaceae family bred by Marie-Louise (Louisette) Meilland of France in 1987. Parentage is Darling Flame × Air France.

This miniature grows only 1-2 feet high and spreads 1-1.5 feet in full sun in amended well-drained moist garden soil. Prune in late winter to early spring to remove dead or diseased canes and prune to 1/3 its size.

1-2 inch double fragrant light pink flowers with 20-40 petals bloom in a rosette form and reliably repeat blooms through fall. Foliage is dark green and glossy on stems with prickles.

Was given the Award or Garden Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society.

Use this small shrub in a container, to line a walkway, in the border front or in groups.

Insects, Diseases, and Other Plant Problems: Watch for rust, black spot and powdery mildew. See pest of roses to the left. Deer will browse roses.
