- Description
-
Orange honey is a miniature rose cultivar in the rose family (Rosaceae). It was bred by Ralph S. More of the United States in 1979. Parentage is Rumba ® × Over the Rainbow.
This small shrub rose will grow 1-2 feet tall in an erect, busy spreading manner. It prefers fertile moist well-drained soils in full sun but tolerates light shade. Remove any dead, diseased or crossed stems. In late winter prune the rose to 1/3 it size. Avoid overhead watering and allow good air circulation to help prevent diseases.
The orange and yellow blend double flowers have a light fruity scent. They appear singly or in small clusters and bloom in flushes throughout the season.
Use this rose in the front border, in a container or in a cutting garden.
