Rosa Coral Drift® 'MELdrifora'

Phonetic Spelling
RO-zuh
Description

Coral Drift® Groundcover Rose is a low-growing shrub boasting numerous clusters of small, solitary coral-colored blooms.  It grows wider than tall, making it an excellent choice as a border in a bed of taller shrubs.

Each 1.5" cup-shaped flower has an abundance of petals, up to 25.  The center of the cup allows a view of its dainty stamens.  With its dark green foliage, it makes a pretty picture in the garden.

This long-blooming specimen will provide flowers from spring until frost. It's also an easy keeper, does not require a lot of maintenance.  Trimming back in early spring after the last frost threat has passed will benefit the current years performance.  The best growing conditions include a sunny location with rich, well-drained, fertile soil.  Feeding a slow-release fertilizer should be accomplished in the spring, with a second application in late summer.  The second feeding will insure better fall blooms.

Its disease resistance makes this an excellent choice for a low maintenance, care-free garden.

Mulching your bed will also benefit this rose, keeping moisture under control as well as keeping weeds at bay.

Insects, Diseases, and Other Plant Problems:  Deer can damage this plant.
