Ligustrum Good Vibrations® 'NCLX1'

Common Name(s):

Description

Good Vibrations is a deciduous sterile cultivar of Japanese privet bred by Dr. Thomas Ramsey of NCSU. It was bred to grow only 3 to 4 feet tall and wide with a dense upright growth habit.

Grow Good Vibrations in partial shade to full sun in average, well-drained, moist garden soil. It is slow-growing and needs little pruning.

The vivid, variegated spring leaves have green centers and yellow-to-white surrounding edges that hold their color all season. The shrub does not produce flowers.

Use Good Vibrations in a container, as a hedge or as a specimen. It could also be used as a foundation plant or in the border of an English or cottage garden.

Insects, Diseases, and Other Problems:  No significant problems.
