Dancing Crane Cobra Lily is a Jack-in-the-Pulpit type of bulb, native to Asia. This plant is esteemed in Japan for its appearance as well as its ease of culture, in a well-drained, open, humus-rich soil in partial shade. The majority of Arisaema species grow in humus-rich, well-aerated soils in mountain, meadows, and slopes as well as open spots in lowland to high altitude woods. A few species grow in pure, loamy soils in sunny, rock crevices. Dancing Crane Cobra Lily is generally found in forests, thickets, and grasslands.
