The showy 2 to 3-inch white flowers have yellow stamens in a ring surrounding a chartreuse center and bloom for 4 to 8 weeks in August and September. Awarded the Perennial Plant Association’s Perennial of the Year 2016 and The Royal Horticultural  Award of Garden Merit in 1993.
