Phonetic Spelling
ah-GAH-sta-kee
Description

'Firebird' Giant Hyssop is a hybrid cultivar cross between A. coccinea x A. rupestris with coral orange fragrant flowers in the mint family. It has a long bloom season from early summer to frost with spikes of tubular flowers. The leaves have a strong minty fragrance and can be used in teas.

Plant in very well-drained soil in full sun. Raised beds or containers provide drainage if you have heavy clay soil. Use near the front of the border of a native/pollinator garden and watch as the pollinators flock to the flowers.
