Chojuro Asian pear is a popular variety with a butterscotch flavor. It is highly productive but bruises easily. It can be kept for up to 5 months. At least two cultivars are needed to ensure an adequat pollination. Fire Blight is the biggest disease concern and the flower is susceptible to frost.

- Full sun. Loamy and well-drained soil with a pH of 6.0-7.0.
- This medium to large sized fruit has a yellow to brownish skin with crisp, juicy white flesh. It is sweet and mild, a little coarse in texture. Great for eating fresh. It can be stored for five months. Ripens in late August.

- Green, glossy leaf is oval in shape, pointed at the end.
