Description

Minnie Pearl is a hybrid small shrub in the rose family (Rosaceae) bred by F. Harmon Saville and released in 1982. Parentage is seed: Little Darling  x Tiki and pollen: Party Girl® .

This upright bushy shrub will grow 1-2 feet tall and 1 foot wide. It will do best in full sun in moist but well-drained garden soil. Prune in late winter to remove dead or diseased canes and then prune to 1/3 its size.

Minnie Pearl blooms are a light pink blend of high-center flowers with a mild fragrance. They bloom in flushes throughout the season. The compound leaves occur on stems with prickles.

Use this rose in a container, the border front or in groups. It will work in an English garden, cottage garden or cutting garden.

Insects, Diseases, and Other Plant Problems: Good disease resistance. See pests of roses to the left. Deer will browse roses.
