Juno was introduced in 1832 and is named for Juno, the Roman goddess of earth. It was most likely bred in China.
This shrub has arching canes and grows 3-4 feet tall and wide. It requires well-drained soils in full sun. Prune after flowering is done as it blooms on old wood.
Large 40-petaled pink flowers occur in late spring to early summer. It does not repeat bloom. Foliage is glossy green and occurs on stems with prickles.
Use this plant in the cutting, English or cottage garden, as a specimen or in groups as a hedge.
