Description

The Easy Going rose is a hybrid rose in the Rosaceae family is a sport of Livin' Easy ™ discovered in 1996 by Harkness & Co. of the United Kingdom and introduced in 1998.

This shrub grows 3.5-6 feet tall with a 1.5 to 2 foot spread in a bushy upright habit. For best results, plant in full sun in amended well-drained moist soil. Deadhead to encourage additional blooms and prune in late winter to remove dead, diseased or crossed canes. Prune to 1/3 its size or more if needed. Protect new growth from spring frost.

The yellow-apricot blend flowers have 26-40 petals, are 4-5 inches across and have a moderately sweet scent. The flowers are cup-shaped and occur in small clusters in flushes throughout the season. The leaves are large and glossy green on canes armed with prickles.

Use this shrub in the back of the border, as a specimen, in groups as a hedge or for privacy in a cottage, English or cutting garden.

Insects, Diseases, and Other Plant Problems:   Good disease resistance. See pests of roses to the left. Deer will browse roses.
