'Bobbie James' is a hybrid wichurana rose. It is a vigorous rambler which will typically grow 20-30' tall. Features fragrant, white, semi-double flowers in large clusters in one profuse May bloom with no repeat bloom. It has medium glossy green foliage with a brownish tinge.
Best flowering and disease resistance occurs in full sun. Water deeply and regularly (mornings are best). Avoid overhead watering. Good air circulation promotes vigorous and healthy growth and helps control foliar diseases. Mulching in the summer helps retain moisture, keeps roots cool and discourages weeds. Crowns may need winter protection in cold climates.
Remove and destroy diseased leaves from plants and clean up and destroy dead leaves from the ground around the plants both during the growing season and as part of a thorough clean-up during winter (dormant season). Prune as needed after flowering.
