Description

Berries 'N' Cream is a hybrid climbing rose in the Rosaceae family bred by  L. Pernille Olesen of Denmark in 1997 from Evita and an Unnamed Seedling. It was introduced by Weeks Wholesale Rose Growers in 1998. Named for Jacques Cousteau's ship, the Calypso, which sank in 1996.

This large flowered climber will grow 6- 15 feet tall and 5-7 feet wide and performs best in full sun in amended well-drained moist soils. Prune in late winter.

The 3-4 inch wide flowers are pink and have irregular cream stripes, 10-30 petals and a sweet apple fragrance. They grow in large clusters on long strong stems and bloom nearly continuously. The glossy green foliage is on nearly prickle-free canes. It has good heat tolerance.

Use this plant on any verticle surface as a fence or trellis. Makes a good cut flower

Insects, Diseases, and Other Plant Problems: Good disease resistance. See pests of roses to the left. Deer will browse roses.
