Hieracium venosum, commonly known as the rattlesnake weed, is a flowering plant in the Asteraceae or aster family. This perennial herbaceous plant blooms from May to September and is native to Ontario, Canada and the eastern half of the United States. Rattlesnake weed can be found in woody regions and in dry clearings where it prefers sandy soil and part-shade.
