Heuchera 'Southern Comfort'

Phonetic Spelling
HEW-ker-a
Description

Striking leaves. It thrives in hot, humid environments where other heucheras struggle.  Evergreen in mild wintered areas otherwise an herbaceous perennial.  It makes a great contrast for green-leaved plants.  Grows well in containers,  mass along borders, or as a centerpiece among smaller plants. the 'Southern Comfort' cultivar of Heuchera is noted for being larger than many other cultivars producing leaves that are around 4-5 inches in width. The foliage is yellow green in color and retains the small bell-shaped flowers typical of most Heuchera. Flowering of these plants generally begins in late May or June.
