Heuchera 'Southern Comfort'

Description

'Southern Comfort' has striking leaves and thrives in hot, humid environments where other heucheras struggle.  It is evergreen in mild winter areas otherwise it is an herbaceous perennial.  The leaves are large and change color as they mature from peach to amber with good color retention. The bell-shaped flowers appear in later summer to fall.. 

Plant 'Southern Comfort' in humus-rich soil in part sun to full shade. Leaf scorch can occur with hot afternoon sun. It works well mass planted, in containers, borders or rock gardens.  

Potential disease problems include powdery mildew, rust, and bacterial leaf spot. Potential insect problems include weevils and foliar nematodes.
