Description

'CP Raffill' is a Ginger Lily hybrid of the species H. coccineum that can reach 6 to 7 1/2 feet tall with 18 inches of the plant composed solely of the orange flowerhead. The plant is an herbaceous perennial with thick fleshy rhizomatous roots. It has tropical-looking foliage, and the flowers are usually very fragrant, blooming in early summer before most other Ginger Lilies. It is typically grown as an ornamental plant.

These tropical plants prefer moist, well-drained, organically rich soils in partial shade; however, it will tolerate full sun. They lend a tropical look to the garden as well as fragrant flowers. Use in groups, borders or containers.
