Gardenia jasminoides 'Jubilation'
Common Name(s):
- Phonetic Spelling
- gar-DEEN-ee-uh jas-min-NOY-deez
- Description
-
This gardenia has year-long appeal given its highly fragrant, showy flowers and its thick lustrous dark emerald green foliage. It can be a houseplant or planted outdoors; it prefers bright indirect sunlight or partial shade. Full sun can scorch the leaves and bronze them a little. This variety is considered cold-hardy but may winter burn if overexposed in a cold winter. This gardenia is a medium-sized shrub that is round and dense. It is drought-tolerant once established, slightly salt-tolerant and resistant to damage by deer. Good air circulation will reduce pest problems.
