Description

Lemoine Deutzia is the hardiest Deutzia to zone 5 and warmer areas of zone 4.  It easily grows in average, well-drained moist garden soil in full sun to partial shade and tolerates a wide range of soil types.  Its form is a twiggy, dense, rounded, erect and branched shrub.

The showy white flowers appear in early summer on 3-6 in. panicles. Use this shrub in borders, foundations, as a hedge or open woodland areas.

Problems: Leaf spot, aphids, and leaf minor. It can look unkempt and need renewal pruning
