What to look for: The raised beds at Paul J Ciener Botanical Garden make growing vegetables a stand-up occupation. At waist height, these beds make planting and harvesting produce very comfortable. Several varieties of tomatoes, squash, peppers, eggplant and cucumbers are planted in the garden. Strawberries grow on the ground along the building that borders the garden.

An apple tree along with herbs grow at one end of the garden, while the other end sports a pollinator garden to encourage lots of busy insects.
