What to look for: The Bog Garden is tucked between the Sales Greenhouses and the Part Sun-Part Shade Garden. In it grows a variety of carnivorous plants such as Sarracenia, sundews, and Venus fly traps. The bog garden serves as a retention pond for nursery runoff but is fed by natural springs. Closer to the walking path, the raised beds showcase more sun-loving plants.

This bog garden cleverly makes the most of an existing boggy area in the garden to display the fascinating diversity of carnivorous plants from the SE USA. This boggy ground is not a feature of JLBG.

Horticulture: JLBG is maintained by a team of professionals and volunteers.
