This holly has a more narrow, dense and columnar form than the Nellie R. Stevens. Leaves are a deep almost blue-green. It is excellent for hedges, particularly in narrow spaces; moisture tolerant; a JC Raulston Arboretum Selection.
Wildlife Value: Fruits are attractive to birds. Flowers attract bees. Members of the genus Ilex support the following specialized bee: Colletes banksi. This plant is resistant to damage by deer.
